Tulip Bouquet Subscription
Fall and winter for a flower farmer is the time to be thinking about the spring and boy are we thinking about the tulips! We have planted over 2,000 bulbs on our tiny 1/8 acre farm and they will be starting to pop up come April 2023.
The tulip bouquet subscription we offer guarentees you 3 mixed tulip bouquets when the tulips start to bloom and will contain about 12 stems, mainly double varieties mixed with a few singles.
The starting date is weather dependent but expect to start receiving tulips the first or second week in April.
Our two pickup locations are given below:
Riverdale Park Farmers Market on Thursday from 3pm to 7pm.
Blue Berwyn Farm at 5801 Berwyn Road Berwyn Heights MD on Fridays from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Our Growing Practices
We are proud to practice no-till farming methods. Every spring, our growing beds are amended with a layer of fresh compost. By not tilling the soil every year, it maintains its structure, which helps house and feed the various beneficial biology in the ground. This method of farming reduces weed pressure, so we can avoid using any herbicides. In addition to compost, we may use other organic fertilizers, such as alfalfa meal, to add nutrients to our soil.
Our flowers are completely herbicide and pesticide free!
There are no refunds once the subscription has started in April. We promise to do our best to provide you with a beautiful bouquet each week. But despite our best efforts, the quantity and type of flowers available may vary from week-to-week due to extreme weather, insects, or other production factors.
In the unlikely event of a crop failure, our procedure is as follows: If only a small portion of flowers fail, we compensate by filling your bouquet with other flowers grown on the farm that are ready for harvest at that time. In more extreme cases, we may not be able to deliver any product in some weeks and will refund you or provide farm credit based on your preferences.
Pick Up Instructions
You are responsible for picking up your bouquet each week from one of the two locations.
